I had so much fun sharing principles from my book with a group of students at Belmont University’s Convocation program during a recent visit to Nashville.

A few months back, I had an opportunity to complete the first leg of an unofficial ‘tour’ promoting my book, Discover Your Next Best Step: 10 Proven Principles of Servant LeaderShip Wisdom.

I spent several jam-packed days in Nashville, and let me tell you, it was a whirlwind of excitement!

Stop 1 was at Belmont University where I had a chance to be a part of the university’s Convocation program. This wonderful program is designed to encourage the development of well-rounded students. It was a great honor to be able to share an overview of the 10 principles outlined in my book and to have Fort Wayne native and Belmont student McKenzie Cook open and close the program with her gifted singing. What an amazing day!

Our second stop was at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center, where I presented a Lunch and Learn session to a group of about 10 or 15 people.

Finally, book endorser Cordia Harrington, known as The Bun Lady, and Matt Miller, a longtime friend, sponsored an evening event at the Belle Meade Country Club, where I met some amazing people from Nashville, including a well-known songwriter, some local business people, and several others who are associated with the National Christian Foundation.

All in all, it was an amazing weekend spent in the company of like-minded business associates and fellow followers of Christ. What a gift!
